We deal with consulting and production of solutions in the field of reactive power compensation.

On request, we carry out measurements aimed at correct design and proper selection of the total power of the battery and the distribution of power on individual stages, including installation in the destined location.

Enterprises and production plants very often face the problem of high energy costs, where one of the decisive factors about the amount of the invoice is the cost of inductive passive energy or the transfer of passive capacitive power to the grid. Fees in this regard can be easily reduced using appropriately selected batteries for passive power compensation.

Other benefits associated with the use of batteries is a 2-5% reduction in costs for active energy.

Depending on the needs and design limitations, the battery is installed in a metal cabinet, powder coated  or in a enclosure made of a thermosetting plastic.


The individual battery components are connected to the main battery rails, each of them consists of:

  • fuse disconnector (fuse base) with fuses type WTN 00,
  • contactor for switching capacitive currents,
  • power capacitor of low voltage.

Depending on the place where the battery is used, the reactive power controller, cam switch that activates the control automatics, control lamps signaling the stage switching are mounted in the internal version on the enclosure door, either in the outer version inside the housing or in the external version inside the housing on the mounting plate.

The capacitor banks is also equipped with sensors for phase control and phase loss, and if necessary a surge arrester and a ventilation system controlled by a temperature sensor.

Battery operation consists in switching on or disconnecting capacitor stages of a certain size at the point the compensated power grid.

The passive power controller compares the currently existing cosφ with the set value and, depending on the demand, controls the number of attached capacitor members.

In energy networks there may exist rapid load changes, therefore the regulator is equipped with a time delay system (due to the time of discharge of capacitors through resistors of contactors of individual components in order to obtain the desired coefficient of reactive power cos φ.)
